EICOSE (European Institute for Complex Safety Critical Systems Engineering) leverages three recognised national initiatives, Aerospace Valley, SafeTRANS and SYSTEM@TIC PARIS-REGION onto a European dimension and is accepted as first Innovation Cluster within the framework of ARTEMIS, the European Technology Platform for Embedded Intelligent Systems.

EICOSE takes over the responsibility for the part of the ARTEMIS Strategic Research Agenda concerning processes and methods for complex safety critical systems in the transportation domain (Automotive, Aeronautics, Railways).

EICOSE will

• develop enabling technologies for mastering safety, security, reliability, and
  robustness of future embedded systems
• create an innovation eco-system able to share tools and technologies across
  Automotive, Railways, and Aeronautics by
  
  
  • harmonising Priority Themes
  • coordinating harmonised Large-Scale Research Projects
  • implementing the relevant parts of the ARTEMIS Strategic Research Agenda
